Homebrew Drabaxi Species Details

The Drabaxi is a surprisingly newer race to the world. It was born from the unlikely union of a Dragonborn and a Tabaxi. Drabaxi are not many in number at the time, but are already an interesting addition to the world.

Drabaxi Traits

The half race union of a Tabaxi and a Dragonborn.

Mixed Heritage- Ability Score Increase

Tabaxi Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2.

-or-

Dragonborn Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 2.

Darkvision

You have the keen senses of your Tabaxi side, especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Cat’s Claws

Because of your claws, you have a climbing speed of 20 feet. In addition, your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

Draconic Claws

You can use your action to imbue your claws with the power of your draconic ancestry and make an attack. When you use your Draconic Claw, the targeted creature must make a saving throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your Draconic Claws, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest. If the melee attack hits it deals slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.
