Homebrew Canis Species Details
A byproduct of raising dogs near a rift to the feywilds, this uncommon race found its way into the hearts of many of Arcanum's smaller towns. Quick, keen minded, and loyal to a fault, if you have made a friend with a Canis, you've made a friend for life. Keep the things far from me, though. I'm allergic as hell.
From the howling hunters of the great plains, to the cozy companions of the farmlands, Canis make themselves at home near many human settlements, hoping to be accepted into human families and societies. Quick to pack-bond, and easily excitable, these "man's best friends" were magically evolved into bipedal dogfolk due to a high concentration of fey magic. Their sizes and temperaments range just as much as normal canine breeds do, and in many ways they act very similar to them, but with an obvious added level of sentience and intelligence.
