Homebrew Dracotaur Species Details

Dracotaurs are a race whose existence is rooted in the winding paths of dragons. They resemble the majestic centaurs, however, they spout the lower half of a drake, and may also have other draconic like features on their human half, such as horns and scales. Culturally, dracotaurs prefer to live in smaller groups or by themselves, spread out across the lands, and fending for themselves. They are generally not hostile, and are actually quite scholarly despite their circumstances. How dracotaurs came to be is a mystery, one that should be asked to one's bardic grandparent.

Dracotaur Traits

As a dracotaur, you gain the following benefits:

Ability Score Increase

Your Constitution increases by 1, and any other ability score of your choice increases by 2.

Age

Dracotaurs reach maturity around the same time humans do, and can live well beyond 500 years of age, however, they will more often than not die before then, due to their living circumstances.

Alignment

They typically ranged the scales of good and evil, law and chaos, the same as a human. There seems to be no precedent set between dracotaurs.

Tail

You have a sturdy tail, that can be used to strike at foes. It counts as an unarmed strike and a natural attack. It has the finesse, light, and reach properties. Also on a hit, you can attempt to make a grapple check against the target, provided your tail is not carrying anything.
