Homebrew Crokninth Species Details

Crocodilian roots

Crokninths are sentient humanoid crocodilians that most closely resemble an alligator. They can walk quadripedal or bipedal at will, because of this some travelers have mistaken Crokninth for alligators. Also, like many other crocodilians, their scales are shades of browns and dark greens.

Names

After gaining sentience they will name themselves after the first thing they see.

Thick skin

Crokninths have thick leathery scales that are much broader than the scales of a dragonborn, with more skin-like properties compared to other scaled races. Their scales are not easily cut by slashing weapons but can be damaged by bludgeoning weapons.

Solitary hunters

Crokninth live alone for most of their lives. Two crokninths only come together for breeding, after that the parent who has the same gender as the offspring will raise it till maturity. Crokninths are carnivorous hunters that live off of local wildlife, they stalk prey from the waters of the swamp where they are concealed. They have a keen sense of smell and good eyesight that allows them to see in the dark.  

Prodigy swimmers  

Crokninths are natural-born swimmers able to swim even faster than they can run. This fierce race can make quick work of anyone who dares to swims in their swamp.

Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Crokninths mature around 13 years old and live around 70-100 years.

Crokninths live mostly by their own rules doing what they please, but they are not inherently evil nor good. Crokninths are chaotic neutral.

Size

Crokninths are between 7 and 8 feet tall and weigh between 300 and 400 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet. Swimming speed is 30 feet.

Thick skin

You have resistance to slashing, but vulnerability bludgeoning.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
