Homebrew Dragon Hatchling Species Details

A dragon homebrew race that's intended for fun campaigns of a freshly hatched all-dragon party chasing gold to grow, and gain levels/experience. Aka tiny little lizards run around a lot and cause mischief.

Dragons Hatchling imprint on their parents as soon as they are laid, and as such develop a personality and human-like intelligence. They are basically fully functional adults with a personality and history derived from their parent as soon as they hatch. Their backstory tend to be more about the trials and adventure of their parents, but have an impact on them nonetheless.

Dragon Hatchling Traits

Dragons are curious creatures. While the oldest of them are feared and renowned for their terrifying might, you would be surprised at how many hatchlings are batted away from a coin pouch at your everyday inn. After all, it's just a lizard, and it fits in your palm! Well, when it doesn't try to bite your toes of course.

Draconic Growth

Your size will increase quite a bit with the experience you gain, from barely 15cm in length to 20m as a fully grown, ancient beast.

Dragon Branch

There are ten colors available, separated into Chromatic and Metallic branches. While each color has a particular damage type, chromatic dragons tend to be more on the physical side of things, and metallic dragons are more of the mystic sort.

These colors affect various elements of the physicality of dragons, as well as how agile or cunning they may be.

Dragon Color

There are five colours available in each branch, connected to one particular type of damage.
