Homebrew Ailurus Species Details
Not easy to find these folk. They can hide plain as day if they put their mind to it. Harmless things, mostly, but don't be surprised if one jump on 'ya or attempts to trick you as well.
-Malik
Ailurus aren't very common folk. They flit about travelling the world to meet new people and learn new tricks. Some revel in all pleasant things in life and some try to keep the world safe by going out and protecting the few they grew close to. No one can frown when an Ailurus steps up to the plate and does the unexpected.
Natural Rovers
Ailurus like to travel about, within comfort, of course. They rarely try to go into frigid or tropical climates, but they will go for any sense of wonder and curiosity. They are new places to get new ideas and perhaps play a few tricks on other travellers. Ailurus are always excited to try out new styles of dress, bits of any new culture, and even learn the language is they have time.
Gracious Protectors
Some times though, when tricks are all but said and done, an Ailurus will always protect their homeland, should it come into trouble. They are vastly loyal to those that prove themselves to the Ailurus and keep that bond well kept. Once they attach themselves, they will keep at nothing to keep what they have safe and happy. This can sometimes go south for an Ailurus if these bonds are severed due to betrayals and manipulation, but this only brings out an Ailurus' anger, which is never good to be on the receiving side of.
Bits of Mirth
As much as Ailurus are wandering people and protect their bonds, they are also very tricky folk. They flit about from town to town and some gain renown as being con-artists and swindlers, but others gain a reputation as gentleman thieves and even holy protesters, all carrying an aura of glee and calmness as they trick their enemies and keep everyone involved on their toes with tricks, riddles, and half-told truths.
