When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.

Your savage nature gives you the ability to imbue your strikes with additional devastating power.  You may cast the wrathful smite spell with this trait.  When you reach 3rd level, you may cast the thunderous smite spell with this trait.  When you reach 5th level, you can cast the blinding smite spell with this trait.  Any of these spells that would do radiant damage do necrotic damage instead.  Once you use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.  Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
