if you miss it narrowly or by a 1 then you must make a charisma saving throw if failed then the weapon used will freeze and deal half amount of damage on the next turn used and break or you could wait  for it to melt over time or using a fire damageable spell (frost band weapons will not be affected)

if you hit but don't penetrate the Armour or miss by rolling a 1 then you must make a dexterity saving throw if failed then the weapon melt and will be made useless unless repaired (frost band weapons will not be affected)
