Homebrew Yuan-Ti Abomination Species Details
This is nerfed from the Monster Manual to make a slightly more balanced Character for 5e.
Yuan-Ti Abomination Traits
Senses: Dark Vision (30ft) Damage Immunity: Poison. Condition immunity: Poison. Shape Changer. Constrict. Languages: Abyssal, Common, Draconic.Ability Score Increase.
Increase your constitution score by 2, and increase your strength score by 1.
Age
The Corruption of the ancient humanity has hurt the lifespan of the Yuan-ti. Yuan-ti reach maturity at 12 and live upwards of 60 years old
Alignment
The Yuan-Ti plan to take over the world by any means possible, they strive to become more powerful and will hurt those in their path.
Size
The Yuan-ti Abominations are 11-14ft in length, but stand upright between 5-7 ft tall.
Speed
Yuan-ti abolitions are fast and agile creatures. Speed: 40 ft
Darkvision
Yuan-ti can see up to 30 feet away in the dark. They are well equipped for cave areas and have a faint glow in their eyes that can be vaguely seen in the dark.
Poison Affinity
Yuan-ti are unaffected by poison and poison damage
Yuan-ti Combat
The Yuan-ti Abomination makes great use of their snake body and strong mouth.
They can bite, adding strength modifier and proficiency bonus to hit, and deals 1D4 plus Str. modifier. the damage die increases to 2d4 at level 6, 3d4 at level 11, and 4d4 at level 16.
Constrict is a situational action. If a Yuan-ti is grappling a target, the yuan-ti can spend an action to constrict, the target must make a Constitution Saving throw, (8+Str. Modifier+ Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, target takes 1d6+Str Modfier of damage. Damage is halved on a successful save.
Shape Changer
The Yuan-Ti Abomination can use its action to polymorph into a Large snake, or back into its true form. Its statistics are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. Action can not be used again until long rest.
Language
Yuan-ti can speak Abyssal, Common, and Draconic.
