Homebrew Automaton Species Details
Automatons are metal constructs which were originally created by the artificers guild but eventually learned to reproduce their own kind. Originally built to do many tasks their programming varies and 1st generation automatons are hard to find.
Automaton Traits
As an automaton you gain the following traitsAbility score increase
Your intelligence score increases to 2
Hidden blade
Within one arm of your choice there is a secret compartment which holds a natural weapon this small blade can slide from your wrist and be swiped at enemies, which deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit.
Enhanced vision
Thanks to your robotic eyes you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light as if it were bright light and and in darkness as if in dim light. In darkness you cannot discern color only shades of grey.
Metal body
Your metal plating gives you a natural armor equal to 12
Stored memory
You can recall your past memories and knowledge, which you have learned. You gain proficiency in the perception skill. Your passive perception becomes 8 plus your proficiency bonus + your intelligence modifier
