Homebrew Vision Born Species Details
The imaginary friends of children with innate arcane abilities that were lost to the word by unnatural and painful means. The pain suffered in those last moments focuses the arcane power of the child into the form of the friend they created. Vision Born can have the appearance of many different races. They can even look like a combination of multiple races. Human with Tiefling horns and tail, half-orc with firbulg ears. Their visage is only limited by the child who thought them up.
Vision Born Traits
Imaginary friends are there to guide us and give us words of encouragement.Ability Score Increase
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your choice of one other ability score, based on your visage, is increased by 1. You must pick the primary racial ability score increase from one of the races your character looks like.
Age
As a Vision Born you have a lifespan the same as the child who created you. Despite your visage, if your creater was an elf that died at the age of 17, at the time of their death and your birth as a Vision Born you are 17 and will naturally live to around 750 years old. This is the same for any other race your creater may be.
Alignment
Your Alignment is likely to be the same as the alignment of your creater. See the racial details of your creater.
Vision
You have the same vision as the child who created you. See the racial details of your creater.
Creative Creation
At 1st level choose one racial ability from one race that influences your visage. You gain access to that racial ability, unless it has a higher level requirement. If it has a level requirement you can use the ability once you reach the required level.
Imaginary form
Starting at 2nd level, as a bonus action you can turn invisible to everyone but the one who created you. This effect lasts for up to 1 minute or until you attack or cast a spell. Once you use this ability you can not use it again until you complete a long rest.
