Homebrew Dimensional Species Details

Dimensional is a strange race from a completely different universe. Their "skin" is complete pitch black, with glowing yellow eyes and a widened, grinning mouth, which is also glowing yellow. They are incredibly rare, with very few reported cases ever. They possess keen magical understanding and are also quite cunning and charismatic, loving to talk with others. They have a certain calming aura that makes others not fear their otherwise creepy appearance.

There is not much known about them, despite their talkative nature. They will gossip with people, and have very colorful personalities. They also have a natural ability to hover and will typically do that as opposed to walking. They can also morph into shadows. They do not seem to cast a shadow either, absorbing all light that hits them. Their pitch black bodies are not empty voids, but instead feel soft to the touch. They are humanoid in appearance as well, despite these traits. They do not have any visible age, and seem to never die of old age.

The powers they hold are unique to them as well. Usually chaotic in nature, their magic has somewhat random effects, typically pertaining to their personalities and interests. They also really enjoy the world they found themselves in. Our world. They do not have any will to leave once they arrive here, implying their old one must have been truly horrific, or at the very least, too boring to warrant return. They do not elaborate on this to any except those they truly trust.

They are exceedingly extroverted and very good at talking, as well as convincing people to do their needs. They do not have any need for sustenance, and their source of energy is completely unknown. They do not have any need to sleep, but enjoy napping on occasion anyway. They have the ability to travel between dimensions but rarely use it.
