Homebrew Axoloid Species Details
A LAZY, SIMPLE LIFE
Axoloids are extremely relaxed by nature, not really warriors by default. They get along with anyone who will take the time to get to know them and accept them despite their strangeness. They especially like anyone who will just sit down with them and enjoy some rest and relaxation.
Axoloid society is usually run by the eldest in a village, who is well respected for their wisdom and experience. They are advised by other elders, and when forming nations the elders of each village come together and choose a Grand Elder to lead them.
PHILOSOPHY OVER RELIGION
Unlike many other races, most Axoloids don’t really care about religion. When asked how they came to be, most Axoloids will simply smile, shrug, and tell you they don’t really care. They genuinely don’t care how they came to exist, they’re just happy that they do. Rather than practice religion they instead spend their days simply enjoying life to the fullest. This lack of religion should not be confused for lack of intelligence however.
What the Axoloids lack in organized religion they make up for in philosophy and what they lack in myths they make up for in fables. Axoloids are philosophers more than anything, and love to debate morals and ethics in a sane and respectful way. Rather than get heated, they just remain calm and actually listen to each other. Because of this, they are very good public speakers and politicians.
The main philosophy for the Axoloid is basically “Don’t worry, be happy,” and they are typically very happy-go-lucky and relaxed, because their other main philosophy is that “Anger does no good for anyone.” These form the cornerstones of their societies.
WILDOR’S GREAT MINDS
Many of the most respected authority figures in Wildor are Axoloids, with many expressing a fondness for these strange but wise amphibians. The current high king of Wildor is an Axoloid named Ahrinshor III, and he is a very popular king who has ruled wisely for 35 good years of prosperity.
Wildor’s schools are also often taught by Axoloid teachers as well, and even though many of them also live further south, Wildor wouldn’t be the same without its wise and lovable teachers. Even Kitsune Queen will often seek advice from an Axoloid before making important decisions. Some Axoloids even take up astrology or tarot card reading as a hobby.
