Homebrew Bostau Species Details

Bostau live high in the mountains, enjoying peaceful lives in harmonious society, cultivating the environment around them. Society is hierarchal but fair, with a structure that defines each bostau's place while making sure that each has what they need no matter what.

Natural Crafters

Bostau society is built on crafting goods, and every bostau will grow up knowing at least one trade, depending on which family they grew up in. The ability to craft high quality products is essential to the bostau, as that is how everyone contributes to society, and makes a better place for all Bostau to live in.

High society is made up of the jewellers and the painters and the glassblowers, etc; the ones that create the luxury items. Middle class is made up of the smiths and the carpenters and the potters, etc; the ones that create items of use but are also needed for basic things, e.g. furniture. Lower class is made up of the cobblers and the cooks and the weavers, etc; the ones that create necessary items typically.

The excess items that are made are taken to the closest civilisations and traded for materials or gold, fueling the settlement's economy.

Communal Farming

All Bostau help with farming, planting crops by the paths that lead around and out of the settlement and cultivating the land around them to be easier for them to work with. This method of farming, rather than large fields of one crop, helps the biodiversity of the land, making the land within and around a bostau settlement vibrant and full of life.
