Homebrew Ancient Android Species Details

An ancient race of androids, now re-activated for unknown reasons. Whether they were produced by a long-forgotten high-tech civilization, or the product of otherworldly beings, they don't remember their past themselves. Despite being high tech, they are generally seen as sub-par compared to other humanoid species. However, there are some that are able to achieve greatness beyond what most humanoids are capable, usually because these androids are some of the few that woke up with specialized equipment, allowing them to surpass those who would otherwise look down upon them. There are some who make excellent snipers, master thieves, or legendary face-to-face warriors. Due to their lack of a memorable past, they often adopt the language, culture, naming conventions, and norms of the first society they stumble upon. Because of this, when you do find androids, they can have all sorts of different cultures and names, dependent almost entirely of where they are. Due to their usually sub-humanoid look, performance, and status, they are sometimes enslaved in more savage towns and tribes. However, some "gifted" androids also get enslaved since they usually look the same as other androids, leading to frequent prison breaks and slave rebellions. Because of this, most places choose to avoid exploiting them, for fear of accidentally trying to enslave a potential android legend.

Ancient Android Traits

Immune or Resistant to most biological effects. Cannot cross water. Can come with different specialized equipment.

Artificial Chassis

Choose a chassis material.

Mechanical Entity

Grants immunity to poison (both damage and status) and disease.
Grants resistance to psychic and necrotic damage.
Imparts vulnerability to acid and lightning damage.

Any suffocating effect has no affect on you, as does any other effect that requires you to breath.
You require very little "sleep", only needing a short shutdown period instead.

Special Equipment

Chose a piece of special equipment your android comes installed with.

Wireless Transceiver

You are automatically able to communicate with other androids telepathically at all times, regardless of other factors such as petrified or the target being deaf. This doesn't take time or spellcasting to do. You are able to block out others, however sufficiently powerful androids may be able to override this.

This features has a range of 80ft, and is blocked by 2 feet of stone, 2 inches of common metal, a somewhat thin sheet of lead, or 6 feet of wood.
