Homebrew Boarman Species Details

A Boarman is a bipedal, humanoid boar, mostly found in forests or caves and are usually hunted to be studied or to be harvested, as Boarmen hide and organs are tough and exceptionally good for leather working or Armour. Boarmen are usually alone and don't normally live in town or cities. They are built for strength and bestial power. Even as a humanoid, they can still harness their animalistic tendencies if need be. 

Boarman Traits

Very beastial and violent in nature, a lot of the abilities are geared toward Strength

Languages

You can speak, read, and write in Common, and Sylvan.

Darkvision

You have the characteristics of a boar, and so, your senses are honed and especially in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness only shades of gray.

Natural Athlete

You were born with a natural Sturdiness and strength. You gain proficiency in the Athletics still.

Boarish Hardiness

Being born with such tough genes, you can roll a 1d8 and gain extra HP equal to the number rolled, and you gain this effect every time you level up.

Charge

Being boarish in nature, you are able to charge at a creature and they must make a Dexterity Saving Throw. (DC=STR+PROF) The range of this run equals 40 ft and increases with any bonuses to movement speed in a straight line. If a creature succeeds the throw, they Dodge out of the way taking half damage. If failed, they take full damage and must make a Strength Saving Throw or be knocked prone. (DC=STR+PROF) If the target rolls a NAT 1 on the Saving Throw, they get picked up and dragged along with you, and being thrown an extra 5 feet after the 40 feet. You can decide to not run the full 40 and end it early. (ie. 40+5 feet)
Damage: 1d10+Strength Modifier

Powerful Build

You are considered one size larger when considering carrying capacity and moving objects.

Boarish Frenzy

At 3rd Level, you can go into a boarish frenzy. In this frenzy you have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. You cannot use Weapons in this frenzy and your unarmed Melee attacks deal 1d6 damage. All levels of exhaustion are ignored while in this state. Your movement speed is doubled and you gain a bite Attack. This frenzy lasts a minute and will end early if you are knocked unconscious or calmed.   After this frenzy ends, you gain 1 level of exhaustion. This can be used once p/short rest. Can stack with a barbarian’s Rage and frenzy rage ability.

Unarmed:
To Hit - Str+Prof
Damage - 1d6 bludgeoning+Strength

Bite:
To hit - Str+Prof
Damage - 1d8 piercing + Strength + 1d4 Poison Damage

Ability Score Improvement

Your strength increases by 2 and your constitution and charisma both increase by 1.
