Homebrew Bean Species Details

The Great Mother Gertrude, poured the watering can to her legume garden. Unbeknownst to her, the can was filled with contents from the fountain of youth. — F.M, CEO

Since its existence, the bean has been in search for the answers of existence. Most common beans stay in local gangs located in warehouses, celebrating their consciousness with dance. Beans reside in urban areas as they evolved away from the requirement for soil.

Gods

All beans have one thing in common, Great Mother Gertrude. Beans have affection for her, as she gave them life. Beans also worship fallen beans that transcended the material plane. Known "Celestial beans" are the trio Killer Bean, Vagan, and Cappuccino. Killer Bean is the only bean that died mysteriously. The branches of Bean religion usually get along, as they all are under Gertrude. though, small gang violence may occur when a bean crosses a line with another beans God.

Killer Bean followers seek justice and vengeance, and hold pride in their martial expertise.

Vaganist beans are lead to be honorable, and strategic on the battlefield.

The Cappuccino family are most driven by material gain, and live most dangerously.

Small and Cartoonish

The vivacious beans survive in a world full of larger creatures by avoiding predators, or becoming them. Staggering up to 2 feet tall, they appear as natural anomalies. The well built beans tend to weigh 40 pounds.

The beans have silky smooth skin, from an array of brown colors, and black. Their arms and legs are comically cartoonish, and they tend to wear vests and hats.

Beans live the life of luxury. They dawn themselves in the swaggiest of caps and drape themselves in suits if they can afford it. Customizing their weapon is ritualistic to the beans and brings them sense of identity.

Tough and Rough

Beans don't take any sass. For their seemingly immortal selves, they would rather move boxes in their gangs warehouse then listen to a boring meeting.

Beans are slow to trust, but once you form a bond with one, you are accepted into bean society and the bond is almost unbreakable.

Beans aren't the best at fitting into a community of humans, dwarves, or elves, it is more of a problem to the new neighbors than the beans.

Exploring Opportunities

Beans usually set out on the adventurer’s path to discover ones self or obtain ill gotten gains. For them, adventuring is less a career than an opportunity or sometimes a necessity.
