Homebrew Asgardian Species Details

Heralding from a realm from a higher plane, resides a world named Asgard. Asgard houses the Bifrost, a powerful bridge between worlds that can be used to easily transport between realms. The Asgardians protect the Bifrost training their whole lives to fight the many creatures of the realms. Asgardians occasionally will travel to other realms to help qualm conflict, but rarely ever cross to the prime material plane.

Proud Warriors

Every day the Asgardians train, preparing themselves for any foe. They train against each other, constantly trying to prove themselves better than than the next. The stronger Asgardians compete in tournaments, large competitions of epic battles, all for glory and fame. The winners of these tournaments become Asgard's champions, gaining powers beyond the natural. Those who win multiple tournaments are written down in legends and immortalized in folklore. Every Asgardian child's dream is to become a champion of Asgard.

Otherworldly Power

Winners of the Asgardian tournament gain immense powers, each unique from the last. Some gain powers over the elements, others gain powers over intangibles. The power gained from this tournament is often looked at as godly in other worlds. The more tournaments an Asgardian wins the stronger their power gets. These powers however, can sometimes lead the wielder to be more arrogant, many times leading to their demise. Those who don't let the power get to their head are the ones who win multiple tournaments.

Secluded Lifestyle

Asgardians live a life separated from other worlds for most of their life. They often find themselves acting very different from the people of the world they are visiting. They usually fall under two different categories when in a different realm, struggling to blend in and follow societies rules, or enamoring people with their charm and stories.

Asgardians that struggle fit in with society often stand out as they act what others would deem strange. They often act as if they are still in Asgard, doing things that society would deem unruly. They can sometimes get themselves in trouble with their actions, as they often have little regard for the wellness of others.

Those that are charismatic can often find themselves sharing their stories to others. Their tales make others fall in love with them and look up to them. They are comfortable in social situations as they can draw a crowd and entertain them.
