Homebrew Snow Elf Species Details
Most Elves resident to Galeswine have the familiar elven look: pointed ears with otherwise human features. The Snow Elves of Agriwulf, however, possess pale white skin, eyes of an electric blue or green, a thin layer of fur on the ear, and stand just a bit taller than the average human, ranging from just under 6 feet to 7 feet in height. The magic in their blood runs as strong as high elves, but not all choose to embrace this natural proficiency, relying instead on their natural abilities as hunters to thrive.
They have developed to depend on their naturally furtive abilities to keep their societies hidden from the prying eyes of the Cyrilia Parliament. Many, however, choose not to hide from the discrimination they receive from many humans and reside in cities and towns across Galeswine. Of these citizens, some push for better treatment of their brethren while others simply try to live as peacefully and calmly as allowed.
Snow Elf Traits
Your Snow Elf has a variety of natural abilities, the result of centuries upon centuries of elven refinement.Ability Score Increase
Your Constitution score increases by 1, and your Wisdom or Dexterity score increase by 2. Hailing from the bitter northlands of Galeswine, Snow Elves are built for the cold. Their natural birth as hunters and spell casters grant them additional skill in their practiced field.
Age
Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.
Alignment
Snow Elves typically are a more peaceful folk, wishing primarily for a calm life and to be left alone by those surrounding them, granting them a typical Good alignment. However, some Snow Elves have been made impartial--or worse--by their personal experiences with the citizens of Galeswine, granting a rare but possible Neutral or Evil alignment.
Size
Snow Elves range from under 6 to almost 7 feet tall and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision
Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses
You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Fey Ancestry
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Trance
Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Elvish. Elvish is fluid, with subtle intonations and intricate grammar. Elven literature is rich and varied, and their songs and poems are famous among other races. Many bards learn their language so they can add Elvish ballads to their repertoires.

You know the Frostbite cantrip. If you already know this spell, take one cantrip from the Druid or Ranger spell list instead.
Cold Resistance
Snow Elves gain resistance to cold damage, and are immune to the effects of cold weather and snow.
