Homebrew Triton 5e Species Details
Tritons guard the ocean depths, building small settlements beside deep trenches, portals to the elemental planes, and other dangerous spots far from the eye of land-bound folk. Long-established guardians of the deep ocean floor, the noble tritons have gradually become increasingly active in the world above.

Tritons get there powers from the elemental plane of waterLanguages
You can speak, read, and write Common and Primordial. Primordial is a guttural language, filled with harsh syllables and hard consonants.
Darkvision
You can see 60 feat in the dark as if it was dim light and in dim light as If it was normal light.
Emissary of the depths
You can communicate simple ideas to creatures that breathe water but don't understand them.
Guardian of the depths
You have resistance to cold damage.
Control air and water
You learn the spell "fog cloud" at level 1 the "gust of wind" spell at level 3 and "wall of water" at level 5.
Age
Tritons reach maturity around age 15 and can live up to 200 years.
Alignment
Tritons tend toward lawful good. as guardians of the darkest reaches if the sea, their culture pushes them toward order and benevolence.
Size
Tritons are slightly shorter then humans, averaging about 5 feat tall. your size is medium.
Ability Score Increase
Your Strenght,Constitution, and Charisma scores each increase by 1.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a swimming speed of 30 feat.
