Homebrew Ankylosaur Species Details

The Ankylosaur race are the definition of literal tanks. A large, armored Megalosaurasapian with a big club tail, these guys are not to be reckoned with. They are very heavy set, and have stumpy legs. An armored shell cover their backs, making them almost resemble turtles.

Back Shell and Scaled Hide

While you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class is 13 + your Constitution. Your Armor Class has a +3 bonus to any attack aimed at your back.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Intimidating Size

When you make an Intimidation ability check against a creature your size or smaller you gain advantage.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic. The Saurian dialect of Draconic is obvious to other speakers of the language and unless you learn Draconic again from another source, your speech in Draconic will always be notable for its Saurian idiosyncrasies.

Heavy

You have advantage on saving throws against being moved and knocked prone.

 

Slow

Your base movement speed decreases to 20 feet, with dis on dexterity saves. 

Club Tail

You can use your action to make a melee weapon attack with your tail. You are proficient with your tail, it has a reach of 15 ft., and it deals 1d8 bludgeoning damage. The damage increases to 2d8 at 5th level, 3d8 at 10th and 4d8 at 15th level. 5d10 at 20th
