Homebrew Wu-Kong Species Details

wu-kong are monkey folk that live in forests and the cloud gardens.

Wu-Kong Traits

Wu-kong are a simian species of humanoid that inhabit the cloud gardens of Gantetsu. There is a small population of a few 30,000 wu-kong in the forests of Caeltas, but a majority of them originate from Gantetsu. There are two types of wu-kong: Divine and Woodland. Divine wu-kong come from Gantetsu and are known for being as bright as the Angelic Sun, while Woodland wu-kong stick to the trees of the Kyslnora and are known for trickery.

You gain proficiency in acrobatics. Additionally, you can use acrobatics to grapple instead of strength

Spin Kick

As an action, you can perform a handstand and let loose a whirlwind of kicks in a 10 foot radius. Any creature within 10 feet of you must succeed a dexterity saving throw (DC 8+dex+proficiency) or take 3d6+dex bludgeoning damage

Ability Score Increase

Your dexterity score increases by 2, and your wisdom score increases by 1

Your reach is extended by 5 feet

Silverback wu-kong are the more ape variant of the wu-kong. These hulking gorillas roam the frosted tundras of Lamaline

Instead of dexterity, your strength score increases by 2.

Roar

You let out a loud roar to terrify your enemies. Each hostile creature within 30 ft of you must make a wisdom saving throw (DC+8+prof+cha) or be frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turn to end the effect. You must complete a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.

Innate spellcasting: you can cast druidcraft and minor illusion at will without any components
