Homebrew Weedlet Species Details

Weedlets. Annoying, skittish, and infuriating pests that cripple their enemies though sheer pestilence. Their cheeky demeanor combined with their ridiculous dexterity make for a formidable, but annoying foe.

Despite their sinister intentions, the Weedlets are quite sheepish when alone; it is said that seeing a lone Weedlet is rarer than a blue moon. Rather than take down creatures in a subtle way, groups of Weedlets pounce onto the creature in an ambush and latch onto the it; the Weedlets then gobble up their prey and skitter away.

The size of a Weedlet may be cute, but their mouths take up most of their face. Their twitchy, tiny eyes and toothy mouths can disturb many; and they have tails with ends similar to a leaf, to the prey's unfortunate disadvantage. The appearance of these little deep-green imps of nature have stubs for limbs and create mixed feelings in all who see them.

Weedlet names favor repeated consonants, which may replicate gibberish at times.

Parasitic Smite

As an Action, you can latch onto a creature within 30ft. of you and deal 1d4 piercing damage each turn. The targeted creature must make a DC 10 +Prof. Bonus +STR mod (CON) save each turn: On a success, you stop dealing damage and are detached from the creature. On a fail, you continue to deal damage to the creature.
You must make a short rest to regain this action.

Generalist

Because of your parasitic nature, you can consume anything edible, and don't need much to sustain yourself. You also have resistance against poison damage, and Advantage on saving throws against poison

Because of their insatiable need for food, most Weedlets tend towards a Chaotic Neutral alignment.
