Homebrew Derovi Species Details

The Derovi are an innately magical species from the Feywild, and their mismatched, chimerical bodies reflect this. The head is that of a fey panther, with a pair of curving ram horns protruding. The body is furry, and the hands have sharp claws. Finally, their legs are those of a large hare, giving them extreme speed.

The Derovi are intellectually diverse, but not so in their fur color. Every color seen has been a shade of white or black. The hair on the body and head is always one color, with spots of a different color throughout. The legs are almost always a shade of grey, and the Derovi tend to favor drab colors. This combination has helped them avoid attention in some places. It has been said the only color on a Derovi is its eyes, which can be any color from violet to emerald. It is not uncommon for males to go shirtless to show off their fur if they are proud of the color.

Derovi are longer-lived than humans, though not by much. The average Derovi can live up to 150 years if they avoid trouble, but that is almost never the case. An older Derovi’s fur turns lighter and lighter with the years.
