Homebrew Darrhaile Species Details

Second Chances

When a humanoid with a strong enough wanderlust, but some manner of responsibility holding them back, dies, their soul can become reincarnated into a Darrhaile. These humanoids have no memories of their past life, but are drawn towards similar ideals and interests. Additionally, they have an unmoving mask representative of their personality or greatest achievement for a face. Their bodies are black and smooth, but they have a tendency to cover up their bodies with hooded cloaks and wrappings. Their blood is actually a black gas and it's very rare for them to have hair.

Insatiable Wanderlust

Their existence completely revolves around exploration and fulfilling the wanderlust that they were unable to sate in their original life. Despite having very few ties to the world, they all come into existence near another humanoid who usually takes them under their wing until they learn about the world, from there, they tend to leave to go on their own journey or accompany their Guide for greater journeys.

Darrhaile Names

Darrhaile names are whispers that are heard by them during their transition from death to new life and are the only thing they remember before they come into existence, thus they tend to take it up as their name. They can take up the last name of their Guide, but more often than not they tend to stick with only a first name.
