Homebrew Werewolf Species Details

Werewolves are a type of shape-changing monster in Faerûn that are vulnerable to silver or magic weapons and can regenerate most wounds. Infected werewolves transform during the full moon involuntarily. Members of their race that are born with the curse can infect others and can control their shifting.

Werewolf Traits

A half man, half wolf.

Ability Score Increase

You gain +1 to your STR score.

Transform

Once per day, you may transform to take on your wolf form. While in this form, you cannot hold any weapons, and your armor melds into your skin (it is restored at the end of the duration). Your AC becomes 14 while transformed. You gain +2 to all STR checks and attack rolls. You gain +10 feet of movement. Your INT and WIS scores become 4 for the duration of Transform. The effects of transform last for 10 minutes. The effect is lost if you are knocked unconscious or killed.

This ability cannot be used during the day.

Claws

While in your wolf form, you can use your claws as an unarmed strike, dealing 1d6+STR damage.

Bite

While in your wolf form, using an action you may use your bite. Your bite deals 2d6 piercing damage. The target makes a STR saving throw (DC 14), on a fail the target is grappled. When a target becomes grappled this way, roll a d100. On a 95 or higher, the target becomes infected with lycanthropy.
