Homebrew Animatronic Species Details
Sometimes, when a humanoid is dying, they take a big risk in order to survive. But it comes with a price. Though saved from death, those people become... dangerous.
Scary In Appearance
The dying person forcefully stuffed into a robotic suit filled with wires and strange devices. Though this process kills the body of the victim, their soul is trapped in the suit, therefore becoming Animatronics. These Animatronics often insight fear into those that stare at them, due to their creepy appearance. These suits are usually designed to look like certain animals, though they look scary. Small patches of wire show from tears in the fabric of the suit. Animatronics also engineer their weapons into themselves, giving them an even more frightening appearance.
Psychotic Robots
The pain and torture from the process of being stuffed into the suit takes a toll on the mental health of the victim, transforming them into cold-hearted psychopaths. The biggest urge of Animatronics is to scare others. They often stay in the shadows and pop out to frighten their foes. Sometimes they even randomly scare their friends and other people. It's because of this people at least try to avoid Animatronics; most of the time, though, they just run away in fear. Another common but small quirk is humming creepy tunes. Because of the broken radios inside their suits, random songs start to play, but they play all creepy and crackly. Their creepy songs are also another reason people avoid the Animatronics.
Sticking Together
Because they are sometimes outright attacked by other people or City Watch guards, Animatronics usually live in abandoned homes and shops. Oftentimes, Animatronics are not alone in their homes. Other Animatronics dwell together, attacking anyone attempting to enter their homes.
Names
Animatronics have short, sometimes uncommon names given to them by the people who designed the suit.
Example Animatronic Names: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Springtrap, Foxy

Animatronics have special traits that reflect their creepy mindset and robotic form.Ability Score Increase
Your Constitution score increases by 2, and another ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Superior Darkvision
Thanks to your mechanical enhancements, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light.
Mechanical Body
Your whole body is mechanical, so you don't need to eat, sleep, or breathe. You have Immunity against poison, poison damage, and disease. You have vulnerability to acid, lightning necrotic damage, and if water gets in you, you become unconscious for 1 minute until your system reboots. You also cannot be frightened or charmed. During a long rest, your body shuts down fully in order to reboot and fix everything, so you become completely unaware of your surroundings for 8 hours until your body is done fixing itself.
Frightening Presence
You gain Expertise in the Intimidation skill. Additionally, any creature that looks at you must succeed a DC 13 + your proficiency bonus Charisma saving throw or be frightened of you. A creature frightened by you of this way can make the DC Saving throw at the end of each of its turns.
Jump-scare
All Animatronics love to surprise and jump-scare others. As an action, you can make a Stealth check with advantage to sneak up on a surprised creature. If you successfully sneak up on the surprised creature, you can make one attack against that creature. The attack roll is made with advantage, and counts as a critical hit if the attack hits the creature. In addition, while making the attack, you can make an Intimidation check with advantage in order to frighten the creature. You can only Jump-scare a creature that is surprised; otherwise, it does not work.
Special Engineering
Thanks to your special engineering, you are able to attach weapons to yourself. During a long rest, you are able to attach one weapon that you are holding into yourself. For example, you can attach it to your hand, so that you can swap your hand with your weapon whenever you want. You can attach a maximum of three weapons to yourself. Also, your suit was built with extremely tough metals. Your unarmored defense is equal to 13 + your Constitution modifier.

Posted Mar 20, 2021When making a character with this race, please over-ride your AC because I messed up a little. Your true AC should be 13 + your Constitution modifier. I am sorry for the inconvenience
