Homebrew Abyssinian Species Details

A race of mysterious origin, the Abyssinian is a race practically unknown to modern society due to its appearance. Most resemble drow with their darker purple skin but they can vary from this tone to lighter blues and pale greys. The biggest tell would be their jet black pupils resembling the stars below. Their origin is shrouded in mystery and peculiar. The few that are born are either from the pairing of two Abyssinians or from the birth of a child with at least one member of the relationship being afflicted with The Abyss's Touch. Often when they are found in a society they are seen as a symbol of corruption and either cast out or slaughtered

The origin of their capabilities may be that of a dark hellhole but that doesn't mean they have to be used with sinisiter intent.

Instill Hallucination

You see it and so do they, to your trick they've fallen prey. They see this thing, but not for long. Look again, now its gone. A target within 30 feet must succeed a save of 8+ proficiency+ Intelligence save, on fail the target sees something that takes on the appearance the caster chooses but can only be of large size or smaller. If line of sight with it is lost, than it is immediately dispelled. Hallucinations must appear within the target's line of sight. This functions as a action and can be used once per long rest
