Homebrew Were-Snowleopard Species Details

Originating from the cold ice mountains, this special type of lycanthrope is rare, yet not as rare as it seems, because unlike most other Lycans the Were-snowleopard remains in contact with their human origins in more senses than one. Not only do they keep their human personality, while in theirWere-snowleopard form, they also master the ability to change between the three phases of their physical selves.

While many snow weretigers wander far from their ice-capped mountains, the nature of these magical snowy mountains never truly leave their blood. Even those not born but transformed into Were-snow leopard feel the magic of ice in their veins.

Were-Snowleopard Traits

Your Were-Snow-leopard character has the following racial traits.

Darkvision

Accustomed to dark mountains and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Feline Attacks (Animal or Hybrid Form only)

In Hybrid and Animal Form, you gain the usage of two natural weapons.

Claws: your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d6 + your Dex modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. In combat, you may use a bonus action to make a second claw attack.

Bite: your teeth count as natural weapons as well, and can make melee weapon attacks. On a hit, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d10 + your Dex modifier. Also if the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with weretiger lycanthropy

Ability Score Increase

When determining your character’s ability scores, increase one of those scores by 2 and a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. Follow this rule regardless of the method you use to determine the scores, such as rolling or point buy.

The “Quick Build” section for your character’s class offers suggestions on which scores to increase. You’re free to follow those suggestions or to ignore them. Whichever scores you decide to increase, none of the scores can be raised above 20.
