Homebrew Construct Swarm Species Details
“Built with good intentions and lost in time, very few of these beings exists. Created for the sole purpose of serving it's maker but was due forgotten as the maker found new interests, the Construct-Swarm, Would've been one of his greatest creations next to his rival that made the warforged, yet this new artificial being has it's own flaws."
—Lorik Ishtang Shattered-Lands
The Construct-Swarm were built to Assist with minor repairs, they were quickly adapting to it's jobs which made the creator uneasy. Seeing his own creation dismantling and reconstructing the stuff they were supposed to fix and put it to better use, Luckily they're almost unable to become evil.
Sentient Core and Steel
Construct-Swarms made from a Magical core surrounded by steel is surrounded with thousands of miniature constructs that fly in quick speeds around the core protecting it. as the miniature constructs that are no bigger than sand only acts as a shield and methods of manipulating tools. they're unfortunately unable to use magic items or equipment in general. but they make up for their weakness with their ability to focus the sand corn sized constructs in an area to defend themselves from harm.
Construct-Swarm Personality.
The Construct-Swarms were built to serve and to assist. For most of their existence, the Swarm had a clearly defined function and were encouraged to focus purely on that role. The Treaty of Thronehold gave them freedom, but many still struggle both to find a place in the post-war world and to relate to the creatures who created them.
The typical Construct-Swarm shows little emotion. Many Construct-Swarms embrace a concrete purpose — such as protecting allies, completing a contract, or exploring a land — and embrace this task as they once did war. However, there are Construct-Swarms who delight in exploring their feelings, their freedom, and their relationships with others. Most Construct-Swarms have no interest in religion, but some embrace faith and mysticism, seeking higher purpose and deeper meaning.
The typical Construct Swarm is in the shape of a sphere with thousands upon thousands of miniature sandcorn like constructs flying around it's core in they're often ungenderd
The more a Construct-Swarm develops its individuality, the more likely it is to modify its body, seeking out an artificer to customize the look of its face, limbs, and plating.
