Homebrew Daemonkin Species Details

The Daemonkin are an ancient race, dating back to the time of creation. They existed in massive numbers in Infernos, the underworld. After thousands of years, the gates opened to the world, and all sorts of hellish creatures were unleashed on the world. Many were hunted down and killed, but some survived in landscapes other races dare not tread. Small clans formed, and they continued using dark and fire magic, doing rituals to ensure their race continued, although by then the great hunting of them had concluded. Daemonkin live extremely long lives, up to thousands of years, but are very infertile, as it takes dozens of years to produce offspring.

The modern day Daemonkin live in the mountains, and in caves, ancient places of darkness. Very few venture out from these sacred places, but when they do, they usually bring back artifacts for the kin. Daemonkin tend to keep to their own. Their diets are usually that of wild beasts, occasionally humans and elves. Some of the Daemonkin have become kosher, meaning they don't eat sentient life. These "kosher" Daemonkin eat deer, rabbits, and sometimes, bears.

Daemonkin stand up to seven feet tall, not counting the massive dual horns protruding from their skulls. They have tails of up to four feet long, have dark to bright red leather skin, and have red feline eyes.
