Homebrew Crewmate Species Details
Crewmates are small bipedal creatures that tend to stay in packs to ensure survival. Them being in the DnD world is purely accidental. But somehow they are here. Maybe the Skeld flew into a wormhole and it sucked them here. Maybe upon getting ejected for being too sus, you were enveloped by some space anomaly that brought you too the world. Whether you were Sucked, brought, or even born here. Focus on the moments from when you started existing on this world and use those experiences to determine your background. At least that's what I recommend.
It's DnD though, do whatever you want
Crewmate Traits
The crewmate relies on it's trusted allies and it's wit to find out who the rotten apples are. Therefor, you gain the following benefits.Ability Score Increase
Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your intelligence increases by 1.
Age
Crewmates reach Adulthood around the age of 12 and live to around 80.
Alignment
Crewmates tend towards Lawful Neutral, usually following a set of rules they make in order to mitigate who is good and who is bad.
Size
Crewmates are virtually they same in everyway except for their colors (and hats), which vary greatly. Crewmates are 3'6 feet tall, your size is small.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common.
Way with Words
You are proficient in the persuasion skill.
Tools for the Task
You are proficient with the tinkerers tool.
Mob Mentality
If you are within 30ft of at least two allies that you can see. You gain advantage on saving throws against being frightened and charmed.
Fashion First
You can choose one item too wear as a hat. The starting item cannot be high in value and items in general can be no larger than you are. While this item is being used as your hat. It cannot be virtually removed until the end of a long rest in which you can then choose a new item to be your hat. Work with your DM to find what's appropriate for you. Roll on the Trinket table to and choose the item rolled as your hat if you still can't figure it out.
