Homebrew Dark Moon Ash Species Details
You come from the Rifts that open up during the Blood Moons with no to some memory of who you were. You know that you are pseudo immortal, you have a core which when is ignited when you die to come back to life while near your ash. However, if the core is destroyed you die for real.
The Dark Moon Ash are medium sized creatures that differs in skin color on the white to black scale. Their hair tend to be long but they can't grow out their hair, and it tends to flow easily almost as if their hair as their own low gravity. Their eyes tend to have a singular color.
Dark Moon Ash has different genders, but they do not have reproduction organs.
Dark Moon Ash does not require food nor do they need to breath. They can taste food which will be stored in an empty room in their stomach region, and they can inhale air if they feel like it yet its not necessary for their survival. They do need to sleep to rest their cores so it doesn't overwork and reduce their lifespan.
After being burnt by an all consuming flame you struggled to come back to life which means you have a fragile body. And when you "die" you have a small chance of experiencing what is called an "Ignition Feedback" which is when your core stutters when releasing energy and burst into a flaming ball 10 feet in radius, this burns everyone around you and all items you have on you but doesn't break your core.

The core is the key to your pseudo immortality. When you die your body crumbles to ash and your core is revealed, which when touched by fire your core will reignite and you will come back to life and regain 2d4 health.
When you are dead and your core is struck by lightning, you become overcharged and will resurrect with 4d4 health and cannot regain more. You gain an extra 10 feet of movement and deal an extra 1d8 damage and to-hit. However, after 5 minutes you die again.
