Homebrew Awakend Snake Species Details

In fiction, snakes are often times depicted as being sly, seductive, and deceptive.  They lure travelers and adventurers into traps or ambushes.  By the time the unfortunate adventurer realizes what is going on, it is already too late.  All escape paths are cut off by slow, tightening coils.  Not all serpents are evil or antagonistic.  In Rupyard Kipling's original 'The Jungle Book,' Kaa is portrayed as being wise and long-lived, often times giving advice to the protagonist.
