Homebrew Abielle Species Details
The Abeille: Keepers of Mïel
Created by Mïel as her workers across the planes, these bee-like humanoids, know as Abeille, were born in the Feywild and are sent out in service. After centuries of generations being split, some have diverted to making their own hives across Faerun.
They generally take occupations of guards, rangers, hunters, or even sometimes political figures in different nations.
Of Stinger and Wings:
Abeille usually are small in nature, only really reaching heights of 4 feet or smaller. They are extremely fast in the air, but like most insects are slow on the ground due to their leg structure. An Abeille derives it's traits from the different subtypes it originates from, with some taking a more slender, sharp, wasp like appearance, and others taking a more fuzzy and compact bee like one. Abeille usually prefer to work in larger groups, and are tireless in their occupations, rarely taking brakes.
Sharp in More Ways than One:
Abeille are usually clever and and quick creatures, being able to maneuver around threats and outsmart them. While alone they tend to be picked off, in groups they are a forced ti be reckoned with. The idle hums of their wings present a clear indicator of when one is nearby, and can sometimes be a detriment. Abeille are also known for their traditional dances, flying in ornate patterns in order to find mates or intimidate foes.
They tend to also have some bug like mannerisms as well, being unable to keep still most of the time, and greatly enjoy the freedom of the air. They also have a taster for extremely sweet confections, and are known to have their mood soured if they go too long without some kind of honey or sugar.
Abeille names:
Depending in the subculture, Abeille names can vary widely, with more laid back and cheerful Abeille taking common names with little complications to the, with the more dedicated and strict ones taking complex names with titles to punctuate.
For example: Bälios, The Striker, VS Judy.
