Homebrew Avatar of Death Species Details
The avatar of death is a reaper of souls that causes death among all creatures. When the reaper uses it's scythe, it can remove a creature's soul after enough swings. They require souls to survive. If they have a steady and reliable source of souls, they can live almost indefinitely. When a reaper dies of a lack of souls or other reasons, another avatar of death will be created. The newly created avatar of death retains all of the memories of the previous avatar of death. The avatar of death has emotions, although they may not be obvious. Some avatars of death have decided to die, as they refused to take another human soul. If an avatar of death is on an adventure, they are usually there to betray their party. If not, they are probably trying to enjoy their lives, but still feeding on the souls of creatures they must fight.
