Homebrew Ayamari dragon Species Details

The man look beautiful but also monstrous. his skin was pure milky white and his hair the color of the moon but he also had shinning blue scales around his eyes and he had horns and a tail that looked like they belonged to a dragon. His aura felt different then that of a tiefling, it was more powerful, more menacing yet seemingly fragile. he walked gracefully, his eyes were draconic and his voice could make man or women fall head over heels. where did such a dangerous beauty come from?

an event called the recreation shaped, destroyed and created many races the Ayamari dragon (also knows as just Ayamari) came from what would have been a new generation of dragons. what could have been large powerful beast ended up becoming creatures of beauty yet still powerful nonetheless. seen as a threat other dragons hunt them attempted to hunt them down and destroy them all, those who survived hid in the shadows. 200 years later they emerged from the shadows and sought the company of adventures who had the power to destroy such mighty beast, over time their traditions and cultures changed to what it is now.

Dragon Kin

Despite being dragon kin, the Ayamari hate their dragon ancestors, after all they never had a good relationship. looking slightly more Elvish than draconic, the Ayamari have a more slender and elegant build usually standing up to 6 feet tall. it is unknown why but their skin is usually incredibly pale, with only a handful of them having bronzed skin, their skin also tends to be as soft as a new born's and it's said that their hair feels like silk. Their dragon features usually matches that of their draconic ancestor. their dragon scales can range from chromatic to metalic colors

The blood of a particular type of dragon runs very strong through some Ayamari clans. These Ayamari often boast scales that more closely match those of their dragon ancestor—bright red, green, blue, or white, lustrous black, or gleaming metallic gold, silver, brass, copper, or bronze.

A hierarchy of beauty and strength

Beauty is a trait admired above all else in any Ayamari community, Every Ayamari has a streak of vanity in them, no matter how humble. Back in the days of yore when the Ayamari was still in hiding the ones of most beauty were usually the ones chosen to mate with and when the Ayamari came out of hiding the beautiful took charge and ever since then beauty was usually tied with strength in Ayamari culture. in society the women usually took charge, having a more political role while men were often hunters or soldiers, having a matriarchy type government. 

Failure is not an option! if you start something you are to be committed to finish it, if you are given a task from the leaders of your community it is taboo to fail! if you fail your task you bring disgrace to your self and are banished or even execution unless you can prove your are worthy of being part of your community. the ability to decide and realize that a task is too much for them or beyond their skill is a valued attribute, if you know a task is beyond you skill range then don't accept it, it's good advice all around.

Ayamari usually use the naming conventions of other races but sometimes they use a peculiar naming convention of their own. sometimes [insert race name] name their children after an past event or after a prayer or wish they have for their child.

Breath Weapon

You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
