Abyssal Peculiarity

You gain a strange enhancement reminiscent of your Abyssal lineage. Choose one of the following options.

  • Adept Climbing - You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
  • Natural Weapon - You gain a tail, sharp claws, horns, teeth, or some other form of natural weapon. This natural weapon deals piercing, bludgeoning or slashing damage (your choice when you take this option) equal to 1d6 + your strength modifier.
  • Extra Limbs - You grow a second pair of arms located somewhere on your torso. These arms are functionally identical to your normal arms, and can wield and manipulate objects just as well, can be used to make attacks or any other functions. With this option you have advantage on checks made to Grapple a creature at least one size smaller than you.
  • Shapechanger - As an action, you can magically polymorph into a RatSpider or Quipper for 10 minutes. You can revert to your original form early at no action to you, or if you drop to 0 hit points in your polymorphed form. Any damage inflicted to your polymorphed form carries over to your original form if the damage reduces you to 0 hit points. Once you use this feature you cannot use it again until you complete a Long Rest. You gain one additional use of this option at 5th level, another at 10th and a third at 15th.
  • Wings - Your Abyssal origins allow you temporary flight. As an action you can sprout temporary wings. When you do so, you take piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your character level. These wings grant you a flying speed equal to half your base movement speed, and last for 1 minute. After the minute duration, the wings dissipate and rot off your back, and if you are in flight while it does so, you drop. Additionally, you can extend the duration of the wings. When you sprout the wings and roll for the damage you take, you can roll additional d4's up to a maximum of 5 overall. Every d4 rolled adds 1 minute to the duration of your flight.
