Homebrew Celvestae (New Version) Species Details

A group of gnome explorers found a Celvestian village and took the time to learn the Ancient Celvestian language. The Celvestae do not know common since they haven't needed to use it since they learned gnomish.

Celvestae are small humanoids with slightly pointy ears and tend to have blue and purple hues to their skin. They always have a mistlike aura around them and are most accustomed to cold locations.  Celvestae generally live in the Mystic Spirit Plane, a dark forest-like plane with a mist covering the entire plane. Celvestae also have spirit-like characteristics and don't need air to breathe.

They mature at the same rate as humans but are considered adults in their 50s and live to be over 500 years old.

The height of a Celvestae varies in-between around 3'2 4'1 with an average weight of around 75 pounds. your size is small.

Your Intelligence ability score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1. Celvestae generally live in harmony with gnomes and learn a lot from them.

Darkvision

Accustomed to dark forests in the Mystic Spirit Plane and Shadowy caves, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Celvestian Tool Training

Celvestae generally use a variety of tools. You gain proficiency in the Rapier, Weaver's tools, and Carpenter's tools.

Mist Aura

The mist aura surrounding your character can give them a haunting and menacing look and the ability to phase into the mist. You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill and the ability to cast Misty Step once using this trait and regain the ability to do so on a long rest.
