Homebrew Mothfolk Species Details
Mothfolk are a wonderful and curious species resembling a large, upright, humanoid moth. They have four sets of arms although the smaller two are usually weaker. These creatures live high in the trees, and are usually quiet peaceful, trading valuable resources with neighboring communities.

Mothfolk have many unique and wondrous traits inherited through their moth bloodline.Ability Score Increase
Due to your cute body and magnificent wings, your charisma modifier increases by 2. Furthermore, your hard exoskeleton allows you to take more damage than normal. As such, your dexterity increases by 2.
Night vision
Being accustomed to nocturnal activities, you have superior darkvision up to 60 ft.
Moth Wings
You have moth-like wings that allow you to fly up to 40 feet per turn.
Fiery Weakness
Your moth-like fuzz makes you vulnerable to fire damage, as it is very flammable.
Inherited Light Obsession
Your people’s obsession with light runs in your veins. Mothfolk have an inherited ability to cast both light and dancing lights to sooth this obsession.
Light Fixation
When within 20 feet of a nonmagical source of light, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by it until it is out of your sight.
Age
Mothfolk are born from eggs as humanoid-caterpillars (known as mothpups) and live that way for about 5-6 years, after which they pupate into a cocoons. After about 2 months within the cocoon, they emerge as fully grown mothfolk, and they live about 7-10 years after that. In total, the average mothperson lives up to 17 years.

Mothfolk average between 4 and a half to 5 feet tall and usually weigh between 60 and 95 pounds. Your size is small.
Four arms
You have four sets of arms, although the lower, smaller arms are weak. These weaker arms can hold anything that's weight does not exceed your strength modifier in pounds (maximum of 15).

You can speak, read, and write common and Lunier, the language of mothfolk. Lunier consists of various squeaks and clicks.
