Homebrew Yagi wa Dawa (Atmor) Species Details

The Yagi wa Dawa are a mysterious people from the Southern Kingdoms that are known for traveling abroad as healers and scholars. Their bodies are altered to assist them in their healing in various ways, as such even their corpses are highly prized by those who would wish to gain their secrets.

Yagi wa Dawa (Atmor) Traits

Your hybrid character has the following racial traits.

Bio-tools

Through the accelerated growth of specialized body parts you can use your body as a Healer’s Kit up to 2 times. These uses refresh after a long rest.

Ability Score Increase

Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom increases by 1.

Age

Yagis mature rapidly hitting adulthood around 12-15. Their maximum lifespan is not known however as their tendency to wander the edges of civilization and their secrecy makes it difficult to track how long they live.

Alignment

Yagis are scholars and healers so they generally have a good outlook on morality, but when one goes wrong it goes very wrong.

Size

Your size is Medium, within the normal range of the standard human race.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Alchemic Tradition

You have proficiency in one of the following: Medicine, Nature, or History.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one other of your choice.

Medical Enhancement

Your body has been altered to incorporate certain special characteristics. You choose one medical enhancement now and a second enhancement at 5th level.

At 1st level, choose one of the following options:

  • Circular Respiration - Your lungs are specialized to process exhaled air making it no longer necessary to breathe if you choose.
  • Bone Scalpel - Rapid growth and manipulation of your bones in your fingers to be used as sharp knife-like tools. Your unarmed strikes do 1d4 slashing damage instead of bludgeoning.
  • Heightened Examination - You can cast Detect Poison and Disease without components as a ritual or using spell slots. Your spellcasting ability is your choice of Int, Wis, or Cha.
  • Adrenal Surge - You can add your proficiency to your initiative.

At 5th level, your adapt your body further, developing new characteristics. Choose one of the options you didn’t take at 1st level, or one of the following options:

  • Alchemic Blood - You have resistance to poison and immunity to disease. Your blood can cure poison and disease, deal 1d4 to cure another.
  • Emergency Transplant - You can transplant your own organs to a person in order to save them from dying. A character that has died within the last minute can be brought back to 1 hp. This can not cure old age, but it can restore some missing body parts provided you are able to transplant those parts. This can be used once per day, takes 1 action, and you get 4 levels of Exhaustion.
  • Temperature Regulation - You can regulate body temperature. This can give resistance to either cold or fire damage and will prevent the negative effects of a freezing or hot climate. If you remain in contact with up to one person they will also gain the effect.
  • Rapid Relaxation - When you take a long rest your exhaustion is completely reset to 0 and you regain all used hit die. When hit die are used during a short rest all 1s and 2s are treated as rolls of 3.
