Homebrew Animatronic Species Details

Animatronics, like warforged, are a created race, there origins remain a mystery, however if legends and lore are to believed, a human created them at a unknown location for a unknown purpose.

 

They look, feel, and sound identical to a human, however as with all creations, they have tells which seperate them from there biological counterparts, this can include but is not limited to a dull glow from the iris whilst in dark environments, a strong dislike of wet environments, lack of aging, lack of the ability to feel cold, extraordinary strength despite structure and muscle mass, and lack of bleeding when damage is caused to there skin.

 

The skeletal structure of a animatronic is built from an exotic metal, which is both non magnetic and has the texture of bone, it is however almost ten times stronger then a standard human bone, the skin is cold to the touch, as they lack a internal organ structure to produce heat, the muscle structure is made of thin fibers woven together, made from the same metal which there bones are made from, creating a woven armour under the skin protecting there vital internal structure from damage.

 It would appear they are unable to bleed, lacking a vessel network to move such fluid around there structures, however, they are able to keep there eyes moist via unknown means, the liquid covering them when collected and tested is identical to tears, indicating that the body is capable of synthesizing liquids, the purpose of liquid covering a constructed eye baffles most of us, perhaps there is a greater purpose to this liquid? Perhaps it is the lubrication to which all the joints and muscle groups use to reduce or eliminate friction? Further research is required on this point.

It has been noted that these animatronics are able to replicate the exact process of sleeping, however require none, the same can be said for eating and drinking, although unsure of where the mass goes after it is consumed, the body does not increase in weight at all after food and liquid are consumed, perhaps they are assimilated into the structure of the body? Perhaps the power source consumes them to give it a boost in its power output?

Animatronics are able to exist from a neural network of superconductive cables leading from where the brain would be located, the brain is constructed from a central processing unit to which no researcher has been able to work out the exact process in which it works, this links directly to a quantum core powering the animatronic, motion, heat and light seems to charge the core allowing a almost infinite power source, seeming to not degrade over time, the power core connects to the various strands of woven metal creating the muscle groups, small electronic discharges seem to allow these muscle groups to operate in a similar manor to humans construction and use, it is unknown how the outer skin assembly is able to repair itself as of yet, however it has been noted that recovery times are incredible, taking up to 1/3 of the usual time to regenerate any damage dealt.

Due to your construction and unknown materials you have a upper hand in battle gifting you with the ability to continue to fight even in the most harshest of environments.

If you receive damage reducing you to 0HP you can instead choose to remain at 1HP

You can use this ability once per 24 hours, its use can not be regained unless you have spent 8 or more hours in continual sunlight or near a heat source above 0 degrees Celsius

Constitution +2

Due to the exotic materials and custom construction of your form you are granted a +2 to constitution

Strength +2

Due to the perfect construction of your muscle groups, and there direct connection with the central processing unit, you have incredible power, as such, you gain a +2 to your Strength score

Wisdom +1

With a processing unit never seen before, and it's level of complexity being beyond anything known to have been created, you gain the ability to understand situations, scenarios and awareness like no other, you gain +1 to wisdom

Cold immunity

You lack any components which are affected by cold temperatures, although you do not recharge special abilities when in them, you have the fortification from cold

Bolt recharging

Due to your use of a power source, when struck by lightning damage, instead of taking damage you regain 1d4 HP

Night Vision

Through the use of image processing modules, you do not require dark vision, you perceive the world through processed imagery, dark environments are simply lacking in full colour spectrum, you however can see clearly into them up to a maximum of 240 feet

Visual data processing

Due to the central processing unit and observation units working in tandem with one other, visual anomalies do not work on you within close range, you process the true forms of what is Infront of you, this includes forms of disguise, trickery or visual effects in place to fool the common eye sight most forms are given, you have True sight up to 10 feet

Hightened reflexes

Due to the manor in which you can process information being far greater then any natural living existence, you have the ability to react faster and in a more accurate way then most known entities, thus giving you advantage on dexterity checks

Calculated mind

As the neural network of your mind is far more complicated then the standard make up of a brain, you have a exceptional resilience to mind altering factors

Calibrated Hearing

Due to the digital nature in which you perceive sound you are both immune to sounds which would otherwise leave you unable to hear, and able to perceive sounds which others may not
