Homebrew Zombie Species Details

villain runs through a storage house, looking frantically behind him, when suddenly, he bumps into a hulking undead figure. A lonely man scurries scared through a forest at night, when he turns a corner, he sees a dead horse in the middle of the road, and eating from its belly he sees a scarry figure with a rotten face, munching away. Zombies are overall one of the most underrated creatures to play in dnd. Who doesn't like to give the village NPCs a good scare, or push huge carts with their bare hands?

As a zombie, you have an amazingly enhanced constitution and strength, you don't age, and you look scary as hell. But beware to get fed every once in a while. Those brains aren't gonna manitain themselves now are they

Zombie Traits

Zombies follow the following traits.

Ability Score Increase

 Your ability scores each increase by 1.

Age

As a zombie you no longer age. You can however still die from mortal injuries or decay.

Alignment

You tend to the alignment you had before you became a zombie.

Size

You are size Medium, just as you were before you died.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Usually that language is the one you spoke before you became a zombie.

Darkvision

Due to your often nocturnal day cycle, you have developed 30 feet of Darkvision.

Undead Nature.

You are of the type Undead rather then Humanoid.

Deathly Visage.

Thanks to your current state of decay, your presence can be especially unnerving to some. You have advantage one Charisma (Intimidation) checks.

Powerful Build

Death has granted you an unyielding power that exceed most living creatures of your size. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can drag, push or lift.

Brain Eater

You can only consume brains for sustenance, and only from creatures that are not undead. You can go up to one week without eating a brain, but for every day you go without eating a brain after that week, you lose 1 Intelligence, until you eat a brain again, and your Intelligence goe up again by 1 for each brain you eat, up to your original Intelligence.

Bite

You can use your teeth to try and bite a creature with an unarmed attack. In that case you use Strength as your modifier, and do 1d4 + 1 damage.
