Homebrew Zora Species Details
The Zora are an amphibious race, native to the waters of Hyrule. They are split between the fish-like Sea Zora and the reptilian River Zora.
Zora Traits
Your Zora character has traits they share with other Zora.Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity score increases by 1, and your Charisma score increases by 2.
Age
Zora age much slower than humans and Hylians, and reach adulthood at the age of 100. They can live for several centuries.
Size
Zora are much taller than humans, reaching around seven to ten feet in adulthood. Zora royalty can grow to even taller heights, from roughly twelve feet to the size of a house.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and your base swimming speed is 40 feet.
Darkvision
You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and darkness as if it were dim light.
Amphibious
You can breathe in air and water.
Aquatic
If you have not submerged in water within 3 days, at the end of every long rest you take 1 level in exhaustion. You lose all levels of exhaustion after submerging in the water again.
Zora Weapon Training
You have efficiency with the longsword, spear, javelin, and trident.
Languages
You can read, speak, and write Common, Aquan, and Primordial.
River Zora
The River Zora, otherwise known as Swamp Zora, are aquatic, reptilian creatures. While they are largely territorial and hostile, they won't attack travelers if treated with respect, and will often assist them on journeys to repay a debt of gratitude.
Fire-Breathing
River Zoras have the ability to spit fireballs at their enemies.
Natural Weapons
The River Zora have sharper teeth than their saltwater counterparts, and are capable of using their teeth as a natural weapon.
Sea Zora
The Sea Zora are an amphibious race that reside in the waters of Hyrule. They are humanoid, fish-like creatures, with long tail fins on their heads, webbed feet, and long fins protruding from their elbows. They have stronger magical abilities than their freshwater counterparts.
Fin Blades
Your fins serve as a natural weapon, sharp enough to serve as a pair of swords.
Electric Weakness
You are vulnerable to lightning-based attacks.
Waterfall Climber
You are capable of ascending waterfalls with little to no difficulty.
Hydrokinesis
You know the cantrip shape water.
