Homebrew Animated Scarecrow [Updated] Species Details
Made from stuffed slackcloth and constructed into a humanoid shape, an animated scarecrow is physically the same as a standard scarecrow. The biggest difference between the two is the force of will and independent drive making an animated scarecrow less of a lacky and more of an individual.
Animated Scarecrow [Updated] Traits
Animated scarecrows have an essence of chaos.Fearful Gaze
Made with the intent of warding intruders, Animated Scarecrows inherently have an intense look. Twice per short rest, you are able to glare at one humanoid creature within 30ft and instill in them the fear of mortality (or any other fear at DM's leisure). The creature must roll a D12 CHA save. On a failed save the creature is frightened for one hour. On a successful save the creature is unaffected. Does not work on undead, constructed, or non-humanoid creatures.
Beguiling Presence
You gain a +1 to your Wisdom score and +2 to your Charisma score. You also gain advantage on all intimidation rolls.
If I Only Had a Brain
Made from a simple spell, you find difficult to discern foreign languages. Therefor, common is the only language you are able to communicate in.
