Homebrew Demon Species Details

The demon's natural ability to create its own form is what sets it apart from other hellborn creatures. Essentially, a demon is much more powerful than a Tiefling for one simple reason, a demon is an unknown. Once it assumes its form, it cannot be identified until that form is either destroyed, or it is revealed by using its powers. Not all Demons are evil, but rarely is a good-natured demon found. Usually, a Demon will not harm its form unless absolutely necessary, although, demons have been known to contort and twist their forms for effect. "Demons, the book says, are any creature that comes from a hellish plane to ours. Now, some are good, and to that, our good Dr. Blackmore, author of 'Demonology, an Encyclopedia on Demons' can attest. Dr. Blackmore, would you care to come to the stage now?" The speaker welcomed a dark-haired man, who looked both young and old at the same time. He approached the microphone and took a deep breath, taking in the crowd. "Now, before I begin, I must inform you all that I am a demon. I am a nightmare, to be exact." The crowd went berserk, as if a firebomb had detonated among them. When the unrest quieted, Dr. Blackmore continued. "My father was a demon. A Timor, to be exact, whose sole purpose was to destroy your lives as you see them. My purpose is to inform you of the threat. Even now, Demonics flood the gates of hell. Some take their places among us and accomplish great things. Many of our great scientists were Demons. Most, however, follow the dark path of infesting human lives and destroying them. To that, we have a solution. The Hunters. This faction of men, women, and some Demons, have pledged themselves to rid the world of all of the Demonics who threaten the human lifestyle. Let it be known to you. My book will be given out at every store for free. I am working on more guides to send to all of you. We need to end this crisis." He looked around the crowd, then exited the stage by becoming a shadow. A Demon is impossible to identify without proper equipment or without it showing itself to a person.
