Homebrew Unkalaki / Horneater Species Details

The Horneaters live in the mountains near Veden. They are humans, unusually tall, almost exclusively with red hair. Their society values good cooking and hard labor, though they will not shy from danger and battle. It is a common belief among Horneaters that the “airsick lowlanders” of Roshar all suffer from the condition of having too much air to breathe.

The Horneaters are a very spiritual people, because of where they live. They believe that the spren are gods, wich they call mafah'liki. Some have the ability to see all spren regardless of if they want to be seen, These people are called alaii'iku.

They are called horneaters because they will often eat bones, shells and horns because they have strong teeth and stomachs.
