Homebrew Cursed Unicorn Species Details

You are a beautiful creature that brings forth life with every step you take. Your magic is the envy of many and so those jealous of your goodness have cursed you when you would not relinquish your power to them. You have been trapped in a humanoid form to dull your brilliance, but even your new form cannot quell your gifts completely. 

Your hair, skin and eyes can be any color as they reflect your appearance in your true form as a unicorn. You can be mistaken for a human or even an elf, though there is defining mark on your forehead where your horn once was. 

 Ability Score Increase

Your Charisma score increase by 2. Your Dexterity increases by 1. 

Age

You age in your cursed form as the humanoids do. Your cursed lifespan is between 100 to 120 years. If you don't break the curse after the first century you risk dying of old age in your false body.

 Alignment

As a Unicorn you are most certainly Good and most are Lawful. 

Size

Your humanoid height varies from between 4 and 6 feet, your size is Medium

Speed

Your Base walking Speed is 30 feet.

 

Cursed Unicorn Traits

Your cursed unicorn has a variety of natural abilities from your celestial power even within your cursed form.

Celestial Resistance

Your true form imbues you with some of it's celestial power. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed. 

Innate Spellcasting

You know the Druidcraft Cantrip. When you reach third level you can cast Animal Friendship spell once per day; you must finish a long rest in order to cast the spell again using this trait. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Equine Grace

Once per long rest you can break free from your cursed body as an action and into your true physical form. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, unless you end it as an action or your new form is brought to 0 hp. You can wild shape into a riding horse, with two notable exceptions. Your health is 5 x Your Level, and you can use your horn as a magical focus to cast spells that do not require material components.
