Homebrew Yordle Species Details
A race that dates back to prehistoric times living secluded from the rest of the world in Bandle City, Yordles are mischievous, cunning and according to Twisted Fate just a "whole heap of trouble". They are magically adept able to enchant and amazing their allies and foes.
Dating Back to the Ages
Yordles are mystical beings that come from self-contained pockets from the spirit realm, that aren't directly related to the material plane of Runeterra. Before the establishment of Bandle City, many prehistoric Yordles that came to the material plane, wandered in the Northern continent of Runeterra, Valoran, which is presently home to Demacia, Noxus and Freljord. As societies advanced, they advanced as well developing cities and towns and the ability to blend in with humans better using a technique called, Glamour. Bandle City was then established within its own pocket of the spirit realm where many Yordles currently stay, but many venture out to the material plane of Runeterra and live there.
Small and Undectable
Yordles are very similar in physiology, typically never growing over a meter tall and are often covered in fur in varying degrees, which also comes in a variety of vibrant colors due to their connection with the Runeterra spirit realm. Yordles do not age in the same way that other races due since they are mainly connected to the Spirit realm, they are able to live for thousands upon thousands of year through a variety of methods. Yordles are not common to the common people of Runeterra and so the Yordles have developed "Glamour" which is an inherent ability that allows them to be less likely to be noticed by other races that are not accustom to that form of magic. This allows them to go undetected by many and makes them blend in with society.
A Culture of Community
Yordles' connection with the spirit realm allows them to achieve extreme magical feats that many skilled mages couldn't even attempt. They are peaceful creatures for the most part, only creating conflict through the light pranks that they will often pull. They are an extremely social race as well, needing to connect with others often in order to remain satisfied and happy. This leads them to be moral good, since they belive that the quality of a Yordle's mental health is dependent on the quality of the company they keep. They are able to be corrupted towards evil if kept in isolation for too long, which will make them become depressed, sullen and malevolent.
