Homebrew Aesmir Species Details

Imperialists
Rekgart was once a fractured land of tribes and war. The Aesmir tribes warred against the Vanmir Jotmir, Sartmir and even other Aesmir. Chief Halldir of the Aesmir knew that in order for his people to become truly great their must be unity, peace and law.
Chief Halldir ventured deep into the Jotmir lands to the Garden of the Gods. There he ate the fruit of Knowledge, and drank from the Well of Eternal Life. He gave his youth to the Dragon of Time and received portals. He gave his hand to the Wolf of War and recieved the Sword of Destruction. He gave his eye to the Seeing Sisters and recieved Foresight.

Halldir returned to Rekgart with immense power and wisdom. He drove the Jotmir into the frozen lands and united the Aesmir under his leadership. He vanquished the Sartmir to drive them into the bad lands. As High King of the Aesmir, he married Astasa, Queen of the Vanmir. The marriage united the two peoples and brought the Vanmir tribes under Aesmir control.

God-King Halldir formed his Golden Army into a military juggernaut. That conquered all of their foes and built a grand empire.

The Aesmir seek to eventually bring all nations under the control of God-King Halldir.

When a nation is conquered by the Golden Army it is incorporated into the Golden Empire. They are subject to taxation and laws of the Military Government but otherwise they are allowed to continue as normal. Conscription rarely occurs outside the Aesmir.
